Here’s some handy info to help you get the most out of your LocLite App membership.

Make sure each circle member whose location accuracy is not up to mark they follow below workaround:

Make sure phone has all location services turned ON, including location, GPS and WiFi.

Either member phone is connected to active WiFi or active Mobile Internet/data plan.

Keep your WiFi on for the precise location result.

Keeping WiFi ON on your device dramatically improves location accuracy, even if you are not actively connected to a WiFi network as WiFi sensors of your phone detects nearby WiFi base stations and narrow your exact location.

With WiFi ON, your device can quickly be located within the bounds of a building or in very urban areas, using nearby WiFi base stations, but with WiFi OFF your location accuracy can be off by more than a mile, as your device needs to rely on the location of cell phone towers. If you have a poor signal, you may not get highly accurate location results.

Accuracy depends on many factors, such as your environment and your phone. At times, a highly accurate location won't be available as some areas might have very poor signal or no signal at all.

NOTE: If your device does not support internet while on a phone call, our app will not be able to update your movement, driving, fence and low battery events

Android Settings for Best Accuracy:

Go to the Android phone Settings, tap on Apps, tap on LocLite

  1. 'Data usage' setting: turn on 'Background data' and turn on 'Unrestricted data usage'
  2. OR you may see: 'Mobile Data' setting: turn on 'Allow background data usage' and 'Allow app while Data saver on'
  3. 'Permissions' setting: turn on 'Location' (other permission settings ensure LocLite features work as intended. 'Calendar' is not required)
  4. 'Notifications' setting: these settings should be turned on in order to receive Place alerts, driving alerts and other notifications from the app

For Android 10 ( Q ) OS:

  1. Go to 'Settings' on the phone
  2. Tap on 'Apps', tap on 'LocLite', tap on 'Permissions'
  3. Change the 'Location permission' access to 'Allow all the time'
  4. Change the 'Physical activity permission' to 'Allow'

For Android 9 (Pie) OS:

  1. Go to 'Settings' on the phone
  2. Tap on 'Apps', tap on 'LocLite', tap on 'Battery' (may have to tap on 'Advanced' to see this)
  3. Find 'Battery optimization'. This needs to say 'Not optimized'. If it does not, go to next steps
  4. Tap on 'Battery optimization' here, and again on next screen, then tap on 'All apps'
  5. Find and tap on 'LocLite' in the list, tap on 'Don't optimize'

For Samsung phones on Android 9 (Pie) OS:

  1. Apps that have not been opened in three days go into 'sleep mode' on Samsung phones
  2. LocLite in 'sleep mode' will not update a member's location
  3. Open LocLite every two days to prevent it from going into 'sleep mode'

Go to the Android phone Settings, tap on 'Device maintenance' (for Android 7 OS)

  1. 'Battery' setting: turn off power-saving mode
  2. 'App power monitor': make sure LocLite is not in the list in this section
  3. Scroll down to 'Unmonitored app' section and tap on it. Add LocLite to this list to help ensure location data is always current

Go to the Android phone Settings, tap on 'Connections' OR 'Network'

  1. 'Wifi' setting: turn on Even when not connected, Wifi can detect the location of routers, helping to improve location accuracy
  2. 'Mobile data' OR 'Data usage' setting: turn 'Data saver' off. Turn on 'Mobile data'
  3. OR turn off 'Limit mobile data usage'
  4. Android 8 OS or lower: 'Keep Wifi on during sleep': Go to the Wifi setting, tap on 'Advanced', turn on 'Keep Wifi on during sleep'. This will help prevent location inaccuracies while the phone is not being used.

For Huawei phones:

  1. Go to 'Settings'
  2. Tap on 'Advanced settings', tap on 'Battery Manager'
  3. Tap on 'Protected apps', find LocLite and toggle the setting to protect it from having background data restricted

If you are experiencing issues with location updates, delayed notification alerts like place entry/exit, low battery or over speed, it may be due to some additional restrictions by mobile manufracturer that provide customized Android ROM

Sometimes you would see member status as 'Disconnected' or status update is not accurate.

Please check if you are using mobile from below brands to request best accuracy setting

  1. Samsung Galaxy
  2. Huawei
  3. OnePlus
  4. Asus
  5. Oppo
  6. Nokia 7.x
  7. LG G6
  8. Xiaomi

To request detailed settings, please open LocLite applicaton, go to "Settings --> Report a Problem" and submit your request. Our technical team will check best possible settings for your phone and would repond you within 24 hours.

Below tips may help you to quickly troubleshoot the issue with the app.
Verify and check all settings and steps below as these will resolve 99% of connection and updating issues.

NOTE: Please check these steps on the phone of the person having the issues.

  1. You could be experiencing connection or location issues with the app due to any of the following reasons:
  2. The phone battery is low or battery warning stage to recharge or phone is turned off
  3. The phone doesn't have network for long time.
  4. The phone is in airplane mode (turn airplane mode off)
  5. Data is limited, turned off or has run out
  6. The phone is having limited signal/connection (two bars or less)
  7. The member has logged out or forced closed the app.
  8. The member is in a different Circle
  9. The member has stopped location sharing for the Circle
  10. WiFi is not running correctly (turn off/on WiFi before troubleshooting)
  11. They have logged on with multiple devices, like tablets or second phones (log out of all devices and log back into one)
  12. A member has logged in with another family member's email or phone number

Next please follow these steps to ensure the device is connected properly:


Reset the Location:
  • 1) Go to the phone Settings
  • 2) Select/Search Location
  • 3) Press Mode
  • 4) Select High Accuracy
  • 5) Press the Back Button
  • 6) Turn Location off and back on


Next you can refresh the app on your phone by following these steps:

  • 1) Log out - press the menu button in the top left corner, press settings, then log out
  • 2) If this step doesn't work please follow the steps below
  • 3) Clear the cache for the app and uninstall the application
  • 4) Turn the device off for at least two minutes
  • 5) Re-install the application
  • 6) Log into LocLite App with the username and password
The steps and information above are the things that our support team will ask app users to try first.
TIP: Make sure you try everything listed above, on the device of the user who is having issues.

LocLite is a free mobile application for Android platforms that helps your loved ones to stay connected 24/7. You can easily find and track the location of anyone who is in your circle. You can also ask for help in case of emergency, get notifications about their movements, drive, battery, speed etc.

Yes, the basic features of the application are free of charge for 6 months* from the date of subscription. You can just download the LocLite app and use it. The LocLite beta release includes all features free of cost and you need not to pay anything.

As of now our application operates on all major Android devices and we are planning to release iOS version of LocLite soon to make you more connected with your loved ones.

We have considered the battery optimization very precisely, hence LocLite is the one of the most optimized, among the other similar applications. It has the lowest battery consumption level. Our “smart” algorithm doesn’t make phone GPS working all the time but at the same time keeps your location data accurate.

If you press this button, the members of your chosen Circle will get the notifications that you need their help. We notify them with your location using app notification and registered email.

The circle is group of members with whom you want to be in contact. Using circle, you make private zones to locate member's current location and history Timeline of circle members. You can be a part of several different circles, for example, a Circle for your family, for your colleagues, etc. You can create new Circles for the group of people to share their current locations among circle members. When you create a Circle, you can decide who is invited and who isn't. We know how important privacy is.

You can join unlimited number of Circles in your application. You can also create new ones and invite people there or join a Circle which is created by someone else.

You have your Initial Circle as a basic one at the time of Signup. You can also create a new one for other groups of people. People often create separate Circles for their friends or another group of people. It is very easy to create new Circles and you can completely control all the settings and administrate. All you need to do is as follows:

  1. Open the circle Menu
  2. Choose “Add New Circle”
  3. Give it a name
  4. Press the “Save” button
  5. To invite new people to your Circles you can press the “SHARE TO INVITE” button and send the Invitation Code to the group of people you want to connect.
  6. You can invite them via email, text messages or other services installed on your mobile device.

To switch between different Circles and view the Circle you want to see now you should do the following.

  1. Find a small arrow near the name of the current Circle on the header of screen and press it.
  2. Then you will see a list of other Circles you can choose from so just tap the one you prefer.

You can delete your profile from a Circle. But please note that your profile will not be deleted from the LocLite app. To delete your profile from the Circle you should:

  1. Find a small arrow near the name of the current Circle on the header of screen and press it.
  2. From the list of Circles tap the gear icon and go to Manage Circle.
  3. Choose the button to “Leave the circle”

To remove someone from a Circle, Admins have the right to delete people from Circles.

  1. Find a small arrow near the name of the current Circle on the header of screen and press it.
  2. From the list of Circles tap the gear icon and go to Manage Circle.
  3. Tap an icon in a bin to choose people you would like to delete from the Circle.

You can add people in your Circles based upon your subscription plan. Remember, you can always add more Circles!

You can invite people to join your circle using the Circle Code. When you create a Circle, you are given a unique invite code for that specific Circle. Be sure to only share the invite code with the people that you want to be a part of your private map. Circle code is the unique code which you can locate under your profile picture drop down for quick access or when you go to Circle Settings from header circle dropdown.

TIP!If you are currently with your family members, it may be easiest to show or tell them the code so they can type it into the app. They will be asked if they have a code right after creating their account or they can enter it in the “Join a Circle” option in the Menu.
If you aren’t currently together, use your favourite messaging app to send your Circle’s invite code along with a special link that will direct your loved ones to the app store.

NOTE: They need to use their own phone number and password, not yours. Otherwise, you will both be located in the same place.

To invite someone to join your circle,
  1. Open menu from header
  2. Click on circle name/code or drop arrow
  3. Choose “Invite Member”
  4. Share the code using app/share it out loud
  5. Instruct them to download the LocLite app and create their own account
  6. As soon they install the app and signup for their account, they will be asked if they have a code to join a circle right after creating their account or they can enter it in the “Join a Circle” option.

If you want to join the Circle of someone else, you can do the following:

  1. Did you receive an invite code to join a Circle? You can ask the Admin of this Circle to send you an invitation code. He or she can read it to you or send it via any type of message system. This can be email, SMS, Whatsapp or other.
  2. If you are a current user of the application and you have your personal account you can enter the invitation code by
  3. Open menu from header navigation
  4. Click on the drop arrow under your profile pic
  5. Choose “Join New Circle”
  6. Enter received invitation code

LocLite is an opt-in application that values security and privacy of our customers over anything else. Therefore, there is no way to remotely accept an invite for someone else. The user that was invited must accept the invite on their own device.

Turning on WiFi on your device dramatically improves location accuracy, even if you are not actively connected to a WiFi network. Your device uses the WiFi sensor to detect nearby WiFi base stations and narrow your exact location based on that information. With WiFi on your device can quickly locate you within the bounds of a building, but with WiFi off your location accuracy can be off by more than a mile, as your device needs to rely on less precise location inputs (e.g., the location of cell phone towers). Accuracy depends on many factors, such as your environment and your phone. At times, a highly accurate location won’t be available as some areas might have very poor signal or no signal at all.
Having the app open on your phone improves your location accuracy; when the LocLite app is running in the background, location accuracy will not be as high.

NOTE: If your device does not support internet while on a phone call, our system will not be able to update your movement, driving behaviors, or contact you in the event of a collision if you are on a phone call.

Android Settings for Best Accuracy:

  1. Cellular Data - LocLite must be allowed to use cellular data to function properly
  2. Android - High Accuracy Mode needs to be turned on.
  3. Android - Smart Manager: This prevents certain tasks from running if your phone has been sitting idle. Disable the "App Optimization" mode for LocLite. This will allow LocLite to run in the background and update regularly.
  4. Go to Phone Settings, tap on Apps & Notifications, tap on App Info. Find LocLite, tap on Permissions and allow Location by sliding it to ON.
  5. Android - Power Saving Mode: Turn this off in the battery settings to allow LocLite to update regularly.
  6. Android - 'Doze Mode': (for Android version 7.0, called Nougat) This will put apps to sleep to save battery. Turn this off for LocLite to allow the app to update. Go to Settings, tap on Battery, tap on the three dots menu in right top corner, tap on Battery Optimization, tap "all apps". Search for LocLite then choose "Don't optimize"
  7. Android - 'Data Saver': Turn of Data Saver as turning it on will stop all data usage in the background, preventing LocLite from updating.
  8. After you finish above step you should logout and login to LocLite again after two minutes or just restart the phone.

NOTE: These steps apply to the person whose phone has stopped updating location, not your phone.

1. Check the basics
Please check if the app is not uninstalled.
They turned off their phone or the battery has run out
Their phone is not in Airplane mode
They are in an area where there is no, or very poor, network connection- two bars of signal strength or less - so LocLite cannot find their location
Network data is not restricted in case there is no WIFI connectivity

2. Check your Circle member's phone settings
Cellular Data - LocLite must be allowed to use cellular data to function properly.
High Accuracy Mode needs to be on for Android devices.

3. Make sure they are logged in as the correct person, not with your email or account info
Make sure each phone has unique login. Login to different device with same account will overwrite the location of the same member and app will not work as expected.

4. Make sure any third party app is not stopping LocLite to run and doesn't kill the app process. There are some app like "App Killers" and "Task Managers" which auto kills the background apps. You should add LocLite to exception if these kind of app is installed.

5. Update LocLite to the current version
Make sure the newest version of the LocLite app is installed on each phone. You can see if there is a new version by searching for LocLite in the app store. We continuously work to improve the app, only for you!

6. Log out and Reinstall the app
If LocLite is still not working correctly, we always first suggest logging out of the app, deleting the app, and reinstalling the latest version from the app store.
If you are using an Android device, clear the cache for the app as well. Then reinstall LocLite and log back in.

Don't worry about losing any of your information since this is saved with LocLite and is not erased when you delete the app. Once you restart your phone, tap on LocLite to open the app and log in with the same phone number you set up before.
These steps resolve 99% of all connection issues.

No, it cannot become visible unless you give us your permission after you

  1. Install the application LocLite,
  2. Create and enter your personal account,
  3. Accept the invitation to the Circle.
After you log out of the LocLite app, your location will not be updated.

If you tap it, you send your location details to all the members of your Circle just in one click. When you press this button, Check-In, all the members of your Circle receives a notification from you.

Yes, If a member belongs to your circle you can see history location/Timeline of that person.
It is viewed on the profile of each Circle’s Member. Press on the name of this person and you will see all the location history.

You should turn on your GPS, WiFi and other location services you have on your mobile device. The members of your Circle should do the same. It can also depend on your device and on many other factors, such as environment, for example. It is also possible that some places don’t have good signal to reflect correct location.

If the application is opened on your device, your location can be improved, but if you are logged-in but your LocLite app operates in the background, your location will not be that accurate.

You can follow the steps below. If you do it for someone else, then use their mobile device. Do not try to fix it on yours one.

The reasons can be quite ordinal:

  1. A person could log out the app on the mobile device. Then they should open LocLite again to update their location.
  2. Their mobile can be turned off or their battery is too low.
  3. They are in a location where there is no Internet and the application cannot define their location.
  4. They turned on the Airplane mode.
  5. They need to make amendments and install the latest version of the LocLite app.

Check the settings of the mobile device.

  1. To update location they should turn on Location Services
  2. To turn Location Services on they should do the following.

Other people should log in with their own email, not yours one
If other users log into the application using their phone but using your email at the same time, it means that they use LocLite from your profile, but not from their ones. Thus you will see location update on your profile, not on their ones.

Some applications can prevent normal operation of the app.
Usually, such applications are called as application killers or task managers. They don’t let your application operate while it is functioning in the background. If the user has such kind of application installed he or she should enter its settings and let your primary applications operate.

If other users log into the application using their phone but using your email at the same time, it means that they use LocLite from your profile, but not from their ones. Thus you will see location update on your profile, not on their ones.

The application should be updated.
Users should use the latest version of the app, which they can find in the Stores. If they see a newer one in the store they should install it instead of the previous version.

The application can be reinstalled.
If the app doesn’t work correctly, you can reinstall it. Just delete it and download a new one from the store. After that, you should turn off and turn on your device. You should not worry about losing any information as it is saved on your profile in LocLite and you don’t lose it after reinstallation. You just need to re-enter your profile after re-installation with the same email.

No, it is not mandatory. You can choose a Place according to your choice and get the notifications about the other circle members when they enter or leave this Place.

Places is a feature that lets you know when you loved ones arrive or leave some specific zone, i.e. School, University, Home, Work etc. Those specific zones are named Places. You can adjust Places and you will be informed every time your close people cross their area. If you want to create a Place, you should do the following:

  1. Go to the Menu
  2. Open Places
  3. Find the “Add Place” button
  4. Enter an address or pin an icon on the map to the area you want to add
  5. Adjust radius of fence and choose its name
  6. Choose who you would like to track and the action you would like to track

You can set the alerts to get notified yourself when someone arrives or leaves the place you created

  1. Go to the Menu
  2. Open Places
  3. Click place you have already created
  4. You will see list of your circle members
  5. Change alerts of “Arrive/Leave” for any member of the Circle.
  6. You can choose event configuration of your choice

You can delete your account, but please note that your premium subscription stays valid. The procedure is very simple.

  1. Go to the Menu
  2. Choose Settings
  3. Tap Account Settings
  4. Select Delete Account
As a result, you will be removed from all the Circles in the application and your profile will be deleted. If you decided to do this just because your application is not working correctly, please, inform us and we will help you.

You can reset your password. In this case, you should do the following:

  1. Log Out of the app
  2. Enter your e-mail and click Forgot Password
  3. Get OTP on your registered e-mail
  4. Enter OTP to reset your circle
  5. You can also use password link received with OTP to your e-mail and reset your password!

All the data is stored in your profile. If you change your e-mail you can use your previous log-in data to enter your Circles and make the next changes.

  1. Go to the “Menu”
  2. Click on Profile Photo to access profile details
  3. Update your e-mail and save your profile
  4. The next time you will be able to access your account with a new e-mail
Note: If you register a new profile you will not be connected to all the participants of your previous profile.
